Teach-In 2024

Please join us for a week-long collaborative making, sharing, and learning marathon! This year’s theme: Material Matters explores the traditional / nontraditional usage, impact, and future of materials in art and design through a variety of workshops, demonstrations, and conversations across campus.We have assembled over 28 different events, led by students, staff, and faculty from over 15 different disciplines and areas. 

Take part in innovative, materials-based research and experimentation conducted throughout the studios and labs at MassArt, to reconsider and reduce our impact on human and global health. Demonstrations and discussions around sourcing, techniques, processes, and waste considerations show us new possibilities, highlight invisible hazards of our materials in communities around the world, and offer resources and alternatives for implementing more sustainable ways of working in art and design.
