Souper Bowl

Clay for Change

The EIGHTH ANNUAL Boston SOUPER BOWL

[Please note that this event occurs two weeks after the football event. There are four entry times: 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm.]

On Sunday, February 21st, from 2-6 PM at Haley House Bakery Café in Roxbury’s Dudley Square, more than a dozen chefs will serve soups made from locally sourced ingredients as a fundraiser for Haley House’s Soup Kitchen in the South End. This event is the first in a series of events marking Haley House’s 50th Anniversary.

Upon entering, attendees will select a handcrafted ceramic bowl, courtesy of MassArt’s Clay for Change student group. They will then make their way from station to station, sampling delicious soups produced with locally sourced ingredients. In sampling a variety of these soups, people realize that with a little creativity, folks can eat locally all year round. At the end of the event, the attendees are invited to take their handmade bowls home with them.
